Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit Indian actor who has been known for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most well-known Indian actors. Her career began as a performer in the 1980s. Her fame was boosted by the film Tezaab starring veteran actor Anil Kooor. Then she appeared in the movie Dil where she starred alongside Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she started learning dance from a very young age. Early in her life, when she first started to act as a child actor, the majority of films she produced weren't successful. She eventually became one of the top actresses from Indian films. After her marriage, she took a hiatus from her acting career. Later, she returned. Recently, she had in a crucial part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women across India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her fame is based on her social works as well.
